Three Ways to Recognize Excellence
DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses
The DAISY Award® is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. Nurses are nominated by patients, families, and colleagues who wish to express gratitude for the exceptional care they received.
The DAISY Foundation was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at the age of 33. During his hospitalization, his family was deeply grateful for the extraordinary compassion and clinical skill demonstrated by the nurses who cared for him. Following his passing, the foundation was created to recognize nurses who make a profound difference in the lives of patients and families.
PETALS Award for Nursing Support Teammates
The PETALS Award recognizes nursing support teammates whose dedication, compassion, and exceptional service contribute to outstanding patient care experiences. These teammates play a vital role in supporting nurses, patients, and families every day.
ROSE Award for Outstanding Service
The ROSE Award recognizes teammates outside of nursing and nursing support whose work contributes to an exceptional patient and family experience. Whether behind the scenes or in direct patient-facing roles, these teammates help create a welcoming, supportive, and caring environment.
