What Is Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT)?
Superficial Radiation Therapy uses low-energy radiation to treat certain skin cancers located on or near the surface of the skin. Treatments are performed in an outpatient setting, allowing you to return home the same day.
Unlike surgery, SRT does not require:
- Incisions
- Stitches
- Anesthesia
- Recovery from a surgical procedure
