Blue Ridge Center for Behavioral Health is a hospital-based psychiatric program specifically for adults. We provide confidential, quality mental health services to help clients and their families function more effectively.
The inpatient program is for adults who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, personality disorders, chronic mental illness, single episode trauma or crisis, or schizophrenia. Housed in a 22-bed closed unit, patients participate in several therapy formats such as individual, group, family, medication management groups and therapeutic recreation. We accept voluntary admissions as well as involuntary commitments.
We can treat geriatric patients who meet our general adult admission criteria, with acute psychiatric symptoms. Patients with advanced dementia would not be appropriate for admission.
