UNC Health Blue Ridge Advanced Clinical Fellowship Program
The Fellowship will allow both Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) to develop the skills and knowledge base to be a proficient provider (APP) in their specialty of interest. It will aid in developing competencies to prepare the APP for critical thinking beyond the level received in their formal education. Furthermore, it will serve to further the APPs knowledge of evidenced-based practice, basic research techniques, professional and personal development, and quality improvement projects.
The goal of UNC Health Blue Ridge's Advanced Clinical Fellowship Program is to provide Advanced Practice Providers (APP) exposure to a wide array of complex disease processes as well as normal health and development to prepare the APP with the skills necessary to be successful in delivering excellent patient care.
The Advanced Clinical Fellowship program is designed to help cultivate dynamic and proficient providers, who are well-versed and resourceful leaders within their healthcare team. In addition to the extensive patient contact hours within the selected Fellowship track, the Fellow will gain experiences through various specialty rotations, case study write-ups and oral presentations, team-based learning, and quality improvement collaboration projects.
